The Arizona Dressage Association, a USDF Region 5 Group Member Organizatoin (GMO), is a not-for-profit educational organization whose goal is to promote the advancement of Classical Dressage through educational opportunities and programs and the rigorous evaluations received at USEF/USDF recognized and schooling dressage shows. While originally formed in 1963, the organization's focus on Dressage began in 1975. Since that time, the group has grown to about 400 Dressage enthusiasts who pursue their love of horses and Dressage through our many educational programs and shows.

Education - The ADA sponsors clinics and educational programs for all members. Auditing and participation fees may vary from event to event.
Competitions and Events - The ADA sponsor a series of schooling shows each year in addition to its recognized shows.
The Centerline - The monthly ADA newsletter which keeps members informed on all the latest association activities, local and national dressage news. Members are invited to submit articles, letters, barn news, cartoons, artwork, poetry and especially, your photographs! Classified advertising is also available.
Horse and Rider Awards - ADA offers a variety of high point awards for its schooling shows and for each USDF/USEF level in the Junior/YR and Senior divisions of its recognized shows. The ADA Year End awards include Riders of the Year, Horses of the Year, and FEI Horses of the Year Standings for all divisions and for all levels. Riders are also eligible for the Cameo Award given to a horse ridden and trained by an Arizona resident from 2nd level through FEI, and the Sandra Kale Award given to an Arab or Half Arab horse at 1st Level or above.
How ADA, USDF, USEF Memberships Relate!
The ADA is an official Group Member Organization (GMO) of the USDF. When you join for $45, the ADA is required to send $20 to the USDF to sign you up as a Group Member of that organization. This gives you eligibility for USDF Rider Award programs, gives you a subscription to the USDF Connection magazine, gives you access to the e-TRAK online learning center and allows you to compete at USDF-recognized shows. You are also eligible to earn USDF University credit and receive member-discount rates for USDF events. Your GMO membership also gives you representation at the national level through one or more ADA delegates who attend the National USDF Convention each year. A separate USDF Participating Membership can be obtained for $75 and gives you eligibility for additional USDF awards including Horse of the Year, Adult Amateur, All-Breeds, etc. A participating member is also eligible to qualify for Great American Insurance Group/USDF Regional Dressage Championships. Membership year runs from December 1 to November 30th.
USEF membership year also runs from December 1 to November 30th with a fee of $55. This entitles you to a subscription to the USEF Equestrian Magazine, a copy of the Annual Competition Calendar, and the Rule Book for your discipline. You also receive discounts from companies as diverse as FarmVet.com and Office Max. All horses competing in USDF Regional Championship must be recorded with USEF.
